I have a program my husband brought home that he used at work called VideoWave4.I think Jesse uses one called PowerDVD.

There are a number of screen-capturing programs you can get, ShadoW.You should probably go to an outlet that sells them(like Best Buy,Circuit City, any good computer store),and look at all the different ones they have to offer.Talk to a sales rep and tell them what you have on your computer and they will probably be able to advise you which program will be best for you.

Usually, there is a help menu with them that's best to go through before you cap anything. It's always good to read the manual that comes with it as well-there's a lot of help you can find in those, too.

You can also cap through some photoshop programs as well.I can cap through PaintShopPro7(which is where I do all my pictures)when I'm in a hurry or don't want to open up VideoWave4.In PSP7,there is a little clipboard link in the top toolbar. You can hit "print screen" on your keyboard,go back to PSP7,click on the clipboard and voila,a picture of your desktop with the screencap appears.Of course, you'll need to edit out the rest of your screen when you go to save it,but it's a quick and easy way to do it if you don't want to bother with a DVD program or don't have one for the moment.

I prefer doing it with the DVD program, though,as you can see the quality of the screencaps are MUCH better!!

The only problem is,a lot of times, you go through a DVD frame-by-frame(at least,I do,everybody that does it probably doesn't do that)and that can take literally DAYS to do,but again,it's worth it because you get some GREAT expressions and sometimes see things you didn't even realize were there when just watching the DVD.I usually go about every 6-12 frames before saving one, because the expressions just stay the same for the most part, except for the minutest of changes.I believe there are 24 frames of film per second,so you don't see a lot of change in that period!!

Anyway, that's what I'd do.Jesse can probably help you more here as well. :)

Hope that helps,hon!! :D

Yes, PowerDVD 5.0. (If you click on the picture in the top left , you can see the playback control panel.) I got my copy from EBay for next to nothing.

It's simple and easy to use. Toss the DVD of your choice into your hard drive, open up PowerDVD and click the 'capture' button or press 'C' on the keyboard. It stores all the screencaps into a file of your choice. But, it saves them as BMP files. You need to convert them to JPG for easier uploading. It's easily done with a program like 'Photoshop' 'PaintShop Pro' or Paint Shop Photoalbum' .

You can also use it to screencap internet downloads (although I've had problems using QuickTime files).

Well the main problam now is, I download ALL movies from internet. And that means they aren't in DVD format. Mostly they are .avi, and PowerDVD wont play them.

I'll try with some programs anyway!

And TNX FOR HELP!!!!!!!!
