Thought I'd share the latest addition of "elf bits" to my collection. Thanks to the kindness of fellow collectors in Florida, Pennsylvania and far-off Canada, I have been able to reunite these four one-of-a-kind chase cards into the handsome mug we all know so well:
The artist's name is Kevin Doyle. His amazing work is showcased on his site: Kevin Doyle Art

As I'm sure everyone already knows, TOPPS has produced many LOTR trading card sets over the years (I'm sure they're chomping at the bit to get started on cards for THE HOBBIT!), but this is the first time I've ever had the good fortune --coupled with my own insanity-- to actually complete one of their elusive sketch card puzzles.
I like to think it was work the effort. ;)

Thanks, Katt and Nenya, so glad you liked my latest bit of "bling".
I actually dropped the artist an e-mail to let him know that some of his "children" had been reunited and he revealed that this was one of his favorite pieces. (Well, duh! It's Orlando! :P)

Thanks for sharing. I love the expression in his eyes. A friend of mine in Cornwall just told me that there is a LOTR shop she ran into and bought me a poster of Orlando and said when I'm over this year, she'll have to take me there. I wish was there already though LA and California is not bad right now despite the thunderstorms.

OrlandoLad, so glad you finally reunited the four chase cards, they are lovely. :woot: The chase is always worth the prize!
I love this particular pose as well, I always think makes Legolas look so etheral.
I will have to keep my eyes open for these cards, they quite often turn up in charity shops in the UK. Its amazing what people discard and the little treasures you can pick up at a later date.

Hmmmm! Now why don't I know about that shop! :lol:
