We’ve known about his upcoming remake of classic French action film The Red Circle for some time now, and have also known that he’s in pursuit of Orlando Bloom to play a key role.
Well, Tim Roth confirmed his involvement a couple weeks ago and word is now trickling out that Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun Fat has also signed on the dotted line. Alain Delon is also confirmed and rumblings persist that Liam Neeson is in negotiations. And, that, boys and girls is one stellar cast.
Shooting is scheduled to start in December. |

By the time the film shot, edited and finally released we could be looking at a two year gap (if not longer) with no cinematic film from Orlando! :cry:

What do we have? A cameo of the I Love New York film? Well as I always say, a cheese sandwich is better than nothing.
I have such mixed thoughts on this. If he isn’t going to be filming until December, then that’s another five months before he gets involved in a film. Granted he has other commitments, I.e, the charities he is impassioned about, but I hope he is just being choosey on what roles he wants to accept going forward, and is not being overlooked by directors and producers. In having said that, I think the film industry this year (or was it last) suffered because of the strike, and I am mindful of how exciting the films were last year, especially during the summer – Shrek 3, Pirates 3 (or was that the year before) and Spiderman 3. The only film I’m not interested in seeing is the one on Batman, and only will go because of Heath Ledger, rest his sweet soul.
