| Paramount and Lucasfilm's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has earned a massive $311.1 million at the worldwide box office in just five days! The return of the man with the hat pulled in an estimated $126 million domestically over the four-day holiday weekend, marking the second-best Memorial Day weekend bow, trailing only last year's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ($139.8 million). |

The shame of it is Pirates was a great film, and the new Indy film left me as excited as a basin of tepid water. While I hope Pirates comes back, all or none of them, I hope they never do another Indy film again. Let him sail out into the sunset and be remembered as a good set of films.

Thank you for posting that article, Jesse (Yay, Pirates! :yahoo:)
I'm afraid I've heard very mixed reviews of the newest Indy. Think I'll just stick with the classics from the 80's (you really can't improve upon Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's a perfect film). What is wrong with George Lucas? Seems like the man won't rest until he's run his legacy of work into the ground. Next thing you know he'll be making a sequel to Howard the Duck!

That is my favourite of the three (or four now) as well OrlandoLad. Didn't like the second that much, but thought the third was good, and very funny as well. Sean Connery was perfect for Indy's father.

I'm not an avid fan of the series, but have enjoyed them, but the first three were far better.
