Orlando answers Four questions about music...
1)If you made a mix tape for your character what bands or artists would be on it?
2)What was the first album you ever bought and where did you get it?
3)What singer or band do you wish everyone knew about?
4)What was the last song you did Karaoke to?

And seeing as we don't have anything better to do ( ), shall we answer Orlando's questions as well? :D Just change Question 1 slightly to 'a mix tape for yourself'.
My answers...
1)
If you made a mix tape for yourself what bands or artists would be on it?It would be a very diverse collection...
Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, The Kids (namely 'Backstage Girl'), The Police, Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Take That, Robbie Williams, then toss in a couple of soundtracks from Edward Scissorhands, Pirates... and of course Sweeney Todd. 2)
What was the first album you ever bought and where did you get it?Jeepers! Thats a flippin' long time ago! I have a feeling it was 'Kings Of The Wild Frontier' by Adam and the Ants. No idea where I bought it though.3)
What singer or band do you wish everyone knew about?Eyes Wide Open - http://www.myspace.com/eyeswideopenrock 4)
What was the last song you did Karaoke to?Never been that drunk!

Gosh I can't believe I forgot 2 include 2 bands that I love from answer
number 1 (mix cd) - Led Zeppelin and Paul Weller.
There doesn't seem to be much response on this topic Jesse, yet I think
it's really good. Maybe we are the biggest music-lovers at ClickO!?
Thanks for the link to the interview. Orlando is soooo hot in it. Had to
watch it a few times to cheer me up.
Been to my mom-in-laws funeral today. V. sad.

Maybe so...and Orlando of course!
I see you have 'Take That' listed as well. I think they are better now than they have ever been.

:console: I had a funeral a few weeks ago...my great Uncle, then a neighbour passed away last week and then of course Heath Ledger. It just seems to be one after the other lately.

I'm sorry to read you've had to bury or mother-in-law, peppersmom...
Hope you're family is allright... :console:
It's been really quite some kind of last days...
ok, my turn:
1)If you made a mix tape for your character what bands or artists would be on it?
- Schandmaul, Nightwish, Faun, Wolfenmond, Shakira, Juanes, Placido Domingo, Beatles, some work of Hans Zimmer, Alan Silvestri, Rachel Portman, Carlos Alvarez, and maybe a few others whose names I simply cannot remember...
2)What was the first album you ever bought and where did you get it?
-Domingo is singing Mozart =) I was about five years old and he was very sweet signing it... with a silver marker :D
Still got it around, but simply can't remember where I've bought it, sorry...
3)What singer or band do you wish everyone knew about?
-Schandmaul and Faun of course, but I think they are allready quite popular...
-and furthermore the band of a friend of mine... naturally :bigwink:
4)What was the last song you did Karaoke to?
-"Tomorrow never dies" from the Bond movie... and it was "hardcore", as the text wasn't working for this one... :stars: luckily I remembered the lines... :P

I guess I missed this topic before!
Now to answer the questions.....hmmmm not easy is it?
1) The mixed tape - well in no particular order Justin Timberlake, N'Sync, Alex Valentine, Jack Johnson, The Carpenters, Clannad, Earth Wind & Fire, Donny Osmond, Level 42, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Lemar, Josh Groban, Jamiroquai, Green Day, Go West, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Blue, Lee Mead, Jeff Buckley, Lostprophets, Nancy Wilson, Westlife, The Police, Harry Connick Jnr, Natasha Bedingfield, Maroon 5, plus soundtracks from Elizabethtown, POTC and KOH.
2) First album - not sure but probably Michael Jackson Off the Wall
3) Alex Valentine
4) Never actually taken part in Karaoke - always managed to avoid anywhere that was doing it!
Sorry to hear about your loss Peppersmom - I lost two close friends a couple of weeks ago and it's the anniversary of my mother's death next week (can't believe it's 16 years :o )so with Heath Ledger it's a pretty sad time all round for a lot of us. :console:

What a fun thing to do, and a welcome change
1) Mixed tape - Eric Clapton, Maroon 5, Josh Groban, StoneMountain, Coldplay KOH, Pirates AWE, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Elton John, The Clash, Tina Turner, BB King, Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin, Journey, Steeleye Span, Journey, The Who, John Lee Hooker, Norah Jones, 1812 Overture and La Traviata .
2) First album - that's easy for me - La Traviata. My mom loved that and got me hooked onto it.
3) Stone Mountain
4) Karaoke - I'd have to echo Orlando's comment - never been that drunk, but two pints of ale, and I'm gone.
Peppersmom, sorry to hear of your loss. Its always a sad time when we lose a loved one. This month hasn't been very kind to us, has it.
Jesse - January 31, 2008 07:28 PM (GMT)
It's great reading the names of all of these incredibly different favourite artists, many of the names you've all mentioned I haven't heard of until now.
Rosie, I forgot Lee Mead!
I also forgot to add 'Queen'. I love 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
RosieB - January 31, 2008 07:48 PM (GMT)
Jesse I am shock! How could you forget Lee??? :o
I love Bohemian Rhapsody too!

Hey you guys, thanks for all your kind thoughts about my family's
bereavement.
Glad this topic has taken off now!
Another band I wish everyone knew about: Keeping Pace With Planes,
my son's band. If anyone looks at myspace you could find do a search
as it's on there. He plays lead guitar, sings and writes all the material.
Not bad for 16 years old. Aaahh  They have a good following.
Peppersmom - January 31, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
Rosie you've got good taste!! You too Jesse
