Title: Heath Ledger
libra - January 22, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I have just seen that actor Heath Ledger has died. He was only 28. We all will remember him in many of his performances, but especially with Orlando in Ned Kelly.
I must say that my hands are shaking as I type this. I am that shocked and saddened.

Thanks for starting this topic Libra. I was just coming to do it myself.
I just read the news on the
SKY NEWS website. I'm in total shock.
I know everyone here joins us in sending our condolences to his family and friends. Heath was a wonderful actor and will be greatly missed by all.

I just can't believe it. He was one of my favourite actors. :o And so young!! What could have caused a thing like this? He was so talented!
I wish to give his family my condolences. :(

Was just coming on here to post this tragic news! :(
I'm in total shock and disbelief - such an enormous talent and genuinely wonderful, lovely actor. A totally unprecedented tragedy, and surely to be an enormous blow to Hollywood and all of Heath's many fans around the world.
:( :(
A truly gifted man who had so much left to give, I pass on my deepest and most heartfelt condolences along with you all to his friends, family and fans.

They are saying it is drug related, but who knows. If he was on some kind of medication, it could have affected him.
I feel for his daughter to have lost her dad. Orlando must be also shocked and upset. Didn’t he introduce Heath to Michelle?
If I hear anything on the news, I’ll post later.

I couldn't believe this when I saw them announce this on the news. I've been following his career since forever. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and many fans; along with my prayers. May God bless him and all who loved him.

I could not believe it we when I heard it on the news earlier today. The first thing I said when I heard was this can't be true, they must be talking about someone else. :sob:

Such sad news today. Heath really had a true talent that he shared with the world. He will truly be missed. In his honor, I am watching one of his films tonight, The Four Feathers. I raise a glass to his memory. May his friends and family find comfort in this tragic time.

A senseless loss of a talented and courageous actor. Thank you, Mr. Ledger, for your body of work. Especially for your heart-breaking portrayal of Ennis del Mar in "Brokeback Mountain". During those two hours on the screen you did more towards opening people's eyes to the realities of the human heart than any number of speeches, protests or parades could ever achieve.
Be at peace.

I heard it on the French radio this morning... I'm speechless... Really...
My heart goes out to everyone in his family. The saddest thing is his 2-year-old daughter [Matilda]... Oh gosh... "Ned Kelly"...
Well, R.I.P... I miss him...

I was so shocked when I heard the news this morning! I couldn´t believe it. He was so young.
It is difficult to find the right words to express how I feel.
My heart goes out to his family and friends especially to his little daughter.

This is so sad and tragic. I watched a knight's tale last weekend and still felt amused by him. So young and so talented. This is a terrible loss.
R.I.P. Heath

I have not been at my computer at all for the last few days but I did unfortunately receive this news. A very close family member of mine passed about 2 weeks ago and hearing this news is enough for me to just..... *sigh* (any word like scream but without the intensity).
Anyways, I wish to say that Heath was undoubtedly a well admired person and actor. He always made me smile in the movies I had seen, and he will be missed greatly. The news of this occurance brought tears of deep sorow to my eyes and an aching heart with pain. I lift my heart to him and his family. God Bless.

I was shocked to hear of the death of Heath Ledger. The only movies I saw him in were "Knights Tale" and "Brokeback Mountain" but they were good movies especially "Brokeback Mountain". It's sad that his full potential wil never be realised. I send my deepest sympathies to his family.

So do I...
I feel truly sorry for all those, who were close to him...
It should have not ended like this... but there is nothing to change, now...
I know, nothing can heal the wound that his death has brought to his daughter, family, friends and fans, but I hope they will manage to see the future a bit brighter again, eventhough it will never be the same...
I truly hope, people will be capable not to emphasize, what they've had lost, when they've lost Heath, but what we all have gained while he was alive...
"To Heath"

It is my hope tha tthe paparazzi will for once respect the pirvacy of his family and cloest friends and not ask them obnoxious, inhumane and rude questions. This is s time of great sorrow for all who were close to them, and space, and lots of it , is needed.
