I'VE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!
:towel: :towel: :towel:
I did a little looking around the shops (UK) for the best deal and ended up at Tesco. They have an excellent deal, if you buy any other chart CD or DVD you can get AWE for £9.
Also, the Tesco AWE DVD has a very attractive embossed card slip case that wasn't on the DVD's in the other shops.
The Bonus Feature with Orlando having his wax model created at Tussauds isn't listed on the features list...however, I've made a cup of tea and I'm now going in looking for Easter Eggs! :flirt:
ETA: Ooohhhhh! There is a little leaflet inside listing the scene selections, a sort of DVD menu tree, a page of Pirates secrets, and a synopsis of the Bonus Features.
In the catagory of questions unanswered....
Since Will honoured his destiny on The Flying Dutchman, in 10 years does he get to return to the land for good, thereby freeing his father and crew?
Every 10 years, Will may step on land for one day. He is bound to The Flying Dutchman forever.

Easter Eggs where are you.......... :lookie:
ETA 2: I've found 6!!!!!!!! Sadly no 'From Wax To Will'.
I'm not giving away any spoilers for the moment, just a clue...look for the Black Spots! :bigwink:

You're sooo lucky girls ! :ex:
I have to wait until Friday (23) to got it ! (and I think I'll also buy "Antarctica").
By the way, some French websites/magazines about DVDs made reviews and said it was great and gave the last features bonus and it seems that Orlando having his wax model created at Tussauds isn't listed on the features list too. - More news soon
Well, good movie and bonus (and Easter Eggs), girls

I have to wait until Xmas to get my DVD. Can you imagine going the whole month of December without it? My husband can be so mean! But, I can always go out and sneak in my own copy before then. :naughty:
But, I thought that once Will Turner does fulfill his responsibility of the Dutchman after the 10 years, he is not bound to it anymore? Is that not true?

I kept rewinding the DVD last night and taking in all the conversations between Tia Dalma/Davy Jones, Jack and Will, Will and Bootstrap.
It would seem that Will is bound to the Dutchman forever, yet he gave Bootstrap the choice to stay on the Dutchman or leave. The only way Will could not be the Captain would be for someone to stab the heart...which is in Elizabeth's keeping. But then he would be dead...but he's technically dead already...OH I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bash:
I assumed that the curse was broken and he could return to land to be with Elizabeth and young Will. Yet, he has no heart, but is alive. He is neither part of the living world nor part of the dead, as Jack says 'the eternal and immortal' Captain. He fulfilled his responsibility to the Dutchman by ferrying the souls for 10 years which kept him bound in human form and allowed him to return to land for that one day. I guess that after that one day the cycle starts again.
Davy Jones only turned into a 'squid' when Calypso wasn't there to meet him. He and the crew were 'normal' men until hatred and anger at Calypso corrupted Jones and his crew. That also explains why when Will becomes the Captain of the Dutchman that all the crew return to normal human form.
Unfortunately a few points are still not clear so I may just have to watch it again!
BTW: The number of times I've watched that after-credits scene has now reached an embarrassing level! :twitch: :twitch:
The immortal Will Turner! :faint:
QUESTION: Sao Feng holds a coin to his ear and you hear it ringing...'the song has been sung.' But why does that coin rings when it's not actually a 'Piece Of Eight'? Sao Feng's Piece of Eight was his necklace which he hands to Elizabeth.

And tonights little gem from my 9 year old daughter...she's good! She's very good!!
Will isn't supposed to step on land but he is actually on the land because the water is on top of the land and the Dutchman is on the sea and Will is on the ship. The only way he couldn't be on land would be for the Flying Dutchman to really fly!

It's time she went to bed...she's complicating matters!

I got mine as well *'s happy*
Well about the curse thing.
I once read at the writers blog of Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio that the curse would be lifted after the 10 years when Elizabeth remains true and that Will would be free.
But well I don't know but I think I like this ending better so I will keep this for me ;)

Ok that's what I guess. Right at the beginning we see this kid, which starts to sing and he has this coin in his hands. I think that's the same coin, and it rings because of the song be boy started!!
Well that's my guess............

This is a scanned page from the leaflet inside my AWE DVD that answers some of the questions. However, it's says the complete opposite to what Ted and Terry say on their blog.
I think they said that Will's duty on the Dutchman and the 1 day on land every 10 years was not to be interpreted as a curse. The one day was to be seen as a gift...that could so easily be taken away.
Maybe the first question on this scanned sheet is also going to tie in with Jack's search for the Fountain of Youth...and POTC 4???? :brow:
Please credit if posting elsewhere.
I'm still confused!! :headhurts: I think I'm going to go and stand on the cliff and hope that William sails by or puts into port! When I see him...I shall ask him!!

Been doing alot of research on pirates in general, and Captain Turner in particular. But here is what I found.
William Turner as the new captain of the Flying Dutchman.
The ship returned, with Will at its helm, to join the Black Pearl in devastating the Endeavour with cannonfire. Victory came at a high price for Will, however. As captain of the Dutchman, he could only set foot on land every ten years. Will had one day with Elizabeth—their honeymoon, during which their marriage was consummated—before leaving to carry out his duty and ferry souls into the afterlife. Prior to leaving, Will gave Elizabeth his heart, stating that it had always been hers. Will departed, disappearing in the green flash at sunset.
He returned ten years later to be with his wife and their nine-year-old child, named after both his father and grandfather. As Will had found a love that was true, with both partners having remained faithful, Will's attachment to the ship was finally broken upon his return from the land of the dead.[3] His "one day" looked set to become a lifetime in the company of his family.
Now the part that the screen writers would have to write in Pirates Four (I have hopes) is once Will steps on land after 10 years, how do they get his heart back into his body? I would think that someone powerful like Calpyso would have to help. While I can see she has reason to curse the pirates for what they did, William can't be held responsible. His father after all did not agree with what they wanted to do, and because of it, the pirates threw him overboard to die. William was the innocent in all of this.
In thinking on this whole story line from start to finish, they all show signs of bravery, being out for themselves, but to me the real hero of the film is William Turner. I'm not saying it because he is played by Orlando, but at the beginning of the film, he wants the girl. He wants Elizabeth for he loves her. He goes to any lengths to save her and would lay his own life down for her. He isn't bargaining for the realization that pirate's blood runs in his veins but he does.
He goes after Sparrow for the compass for one thing - to free Elizabeth and marry her, but then Sparrow tricks him onto the Flying Dutchman selling him out. William meets and promises his father he will save him. An honorable thing to do, and even at the end, when he see's Elizabeth kiss Jack, his own emotions in turmoil, he still tells her if there was a way to save Jack, he would. He offers that thinking Elizabeth loves Jack, and not him, but he still loves Elizabeth.
Well, we all know what he goes through in AWE, and the situation becomes clear to him, and all he wants is what he finally gets - he marries Elizabeth, only to be killed and take on the responsibility that Jones should have done in the first place.
Honorable and loyal man, and real hero of these films.
