The books are starting to appear and this one looks very interesting. 'The Making Of...' I hope this covers all three films or at least the last two. It's available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

Well heck, they made a mistake on the packaging!! Look in the top right, it's says Age 4+ ...surely that should read 40+!
Thanks CJS, I shall have my eyes wide open for William when I go shopping later! :D

Last year in London there was a Disney store and they had so much stuff of DMC. I bought some buttons :D . The store looked very cool with all the pirate stuff :woot:

:thankyou: again mayfrayn.
When I was at Disneyland this year I saw the picture in one of the galleries. It's absolutely stunning.

:woot: You've got one of those cushions. I've looked everywhere for one of those, including every single shop in Disneyland. I haven't been able to find one anywhere.
Did you get it from the Disney.co.uk website? I've seen plenty of cushions there but not this one.
I've seen those TV's somewhere...but I can't remember where! They are lovely. My daughter is after one!

It was an eBay purchase as I was told by several UK shop assistants that they had never stocked them. Its also not on the UK disney shop website.

:D Very nice wannabe.
I love it, but I think my husband might object if I had one on the bed!
OrlandoLad - October 30, 2007 11:16 PM (GMT)
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place (or if someone already beat me to the punch), but I happened upon this upcoming gem while rummaging around the Disney site:

Here's a link for the set on amazon:
POTC 5-disc Treasures Boxed SetLooks like an amazing set! I'm especially looking forward to the disc of remixes and the behind the scenes DVD of Zimmer creating the score we all love to hum in the shower... :P
Jesse - October 30, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
That is just gorgeous OrlandoLad.
I must admit it's very, very tempting even if I do have 3 out of the 5 items!
OrlandoLad - October 31, 2007 02:20 AM (GMT)
My pleasure, ladies. Always fun to share new treasure...
I'll be "double-dipping" right along with you, Jesse!
Aujouret - October 31, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
I did see a bead filled cushion with Orlando and Johnny on it at Bed Bath and Beyond last night here in Buena Park CA. I didn't buy it as I was getting my car fixed and had run out of money.
Next week though.... ;)

Ooooooh, thanks for posting all that lovely swag, Mayfrayn!
I've been looking everywhere for info on the theater cups (eBay only gets you so far). Wish my local theater would've had this stuff at the refreshment stand (of course, it did save me the embarrassment of telling the cashier "Yes, I want the large box of popcorn but no, I don't want any popcorn in it --it's a collectible!")
Great finds!
Christy - November 2, 2007 02:17 AM (GMT)
 OOOOH I have one of those cups, I bought it when I went to see 'Transformers'
My little nephews birthday will be pirates theme!
Everyone has to go dressed as a pirate.
I can't wait! :ex:

The last time I saw a company push out as much merchandising as this was for Lord of the Rings. It is absolutely crazy some of the stuff that they are coming out with.
Another thing, I hate crocs, and as much as I love DMC, this still doesn't change my dislike of them.
Though I do very much like the Monopoly board.
OrlandoLad - November 2, 2007 11:20 PM (GMT)
..and let's not forget POTC SCRABBLE:

Now you can re-enact the white-knuckle excitement of the scene where Will challenges Davey Jones to a "war of words" in hopes of winning back his father's cursed soul, only to tragically lose by misspelling "rutabaga"...
Remember that scene?
Nah, me neither...
:P

Hey there everyone delurking a bit to show a bit of pirates booty that I found by accident at a discount store that sells things for a buck. This was just to cute and funny to pass up.
I just love the expresions on their faces.
Jack has that I have a really mischievous plan/ I'm up to no good look and Will has that I really don't want to know what he's planning / impending doom look on his.
:lmao:
Edited by Jesse to add clickable thumbnails.

manahime69 - November 30, 2007 06:05 PM (GMT)

OrlandoLad - December 1, 2007 05:37 PM (GMT)
In a word: "Squeeeeeeeeeeee!" :yahoo:
HOT TOYS' hot Orlando!
I love that he's wearing the danglies...

There's also to be an amazing Cannibal Jack figure to accompany Will on his adventures under the sofa cushions (watch your back, BarbieŽ!)

Sadly, these won't make it into Santa's sack in time for Christmas, but expect these scalawags to make shore around the first few months of 2008. Now if they'd just put out a version of William in his D'Aatagnan get up from COTBP...

Holy 'ell! That is one HAWT Will Turner doll! :hot:
Jesse - December 1, 2007 07:41 PM (GMT)
:twitch: The eyes are incredible! It's the intense 'look into your soul' gaze that Orlando gave me once! :faint:
Jiminy Crickets! I want one! Watch out 'Legolas' Ken...you've got a rival!

Delighted to warm up your winter afternoon, ladies. :P
Katie - December 1, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
WOW, you're absolutely right the doll looks great!!! So real, scaring :D
Thanks for the pix
OrlandoLad - December 2, 2007 02:15 AM (GMT)
You're right Jesse. You've never truly been "looked at" until you've been looked at by Orlando. :P I doubt any amount of artistry from Santa's toy shop could truly capture the depth of those gold and brown eyes but, ...um... wait, I think I'm getting off topic...
Katt - December 2, 2007 05:17 AM (GMT)
OrlandoLad, thanks for sharing! Those figures are definitely a great likeness!

It's as if he is looking right through you. The details on his face are amazing, even the bags under his eyes.

It's an incredible gaze. You feel as though he's reading your innermost thoughts.
I agree about the bags under the eyes. Someone has definitely done their home work.

:thankyou: OrlandoLad the detail and characteristics on the doll are absolutely AMAZING! :twitch: I thought that he was real for a minute. the best detail is around the eyes. You just kind of stare into them. They are almost hypnotizing.
And he looks soooo hot :hot:
