A solid, heavily furnished living room: a door on one side leads to the kitchen and the stairs, a door on the other side to the front door and the road. There is also a window and a fireplace. The furniture is heavy and provincial: a three piece suite, a table and four chairs, and a sideboard. There are various cushions, photographs and pictures, as well as several cowboy paperbacks. The atmosphere is one of sobriety, with no particularly distinguishing features either of period or 'character'.
Mid-morning. STEVEN comes in carrying a battered briefcase.He's dressed in an overcoat: a man in his thirties.
STEVEN: Dad? ....(Looks around) Dad?

Thank you so much all! I have come back down from cloud 9 now. I developed a high alltitude headache from the excitment. I had to calm down.
