"We were shooting in hurricane alley in the middle of hurricane season."


"I was wet the whole way through the movie and there was that nice leather coat I was wearing and I was chaffing and it was miserable. It looked sexy as hell but it was so uncomfortable."

"They had a rain machine and it was raining...go figure. It's all about consistancy of the drops. The rain drops were this big and it was that cold!


"It was freezing and wet and horrible and I would like to say I'm a butch guy and I can handle that but really it was like, it's time for bed...I'm ready to go home!"




"I did a lot of surfing when I was shooting Troy because we were in Cabo."


"Which was great except for well, has anyone ever stood on a Sea Urchin or ever come across a Sea Urchin?"




"I was surfing and the tide had gone down a bit and I wiped out on the board.I was paddling my way to the top, put my foot down,right on a rock and a Sea Urchin and I had like 25 of those things in my foot."


"My girlfriend pee'd on it...apparently your supposed to pee on it..."


"...it doesn't do anything, believe me."


"I'm mean it's kind of sexy and all but it did absolutely nothing for my foot."

Jay: "Wait...back up...back up! You stepped on a Sea Urchin..."
Orlando: "...just so she could pee on my foot. it was all premeditated."


Jay: "Why, why would she pee on your foot????"
Orlando: "Apparently it if anything gets your from the ocean..."


"...if it's a stingray, you pee on them, if it's a Sea Urchin you pee on them, if you see a shark you should just pee on it!"

"Jay: So what were you outside?
Orlando: I was in so much pain I can't even tell you.There's nerve endings in the bottom of your foot,it's very very painful place to get...if you step of piece of broken glass you know how painful that is. But this was like 20 of them and they were deep man."

"And you try and pull them out and they keep breaking off and they kind of crumble."


"So I ended up stumbling around the place for like a week, and I wasn't actually filming that week, but I ended up flying back to LA and having surgery. They sliced me open three times to get them out and then I had to go back because one was left in. Stay away from from Sea Urchins!!!"


They start discussing motorbike accidents because Jay was recently involved in one. so Orlando wants to compare scars!

"...and it was sliced to the knee there."




So Jay pulls out his battle scar which is pretty horrific and I'm not posting that!! Ewwwwww! But Orlando appears to be lapping up the gorey stuff! :lol:






PART 2

He says he's currently in construction at the new house in London.


"My Mum and Dad come to LA occasionally and love it, obviously the weather and lifestyle and all that. My Dad has this dream as a kid that he wanted to hire a Mustang, so he hired the best Mustang of the time...a convertable, and took it out and was driving down sunset and got pulled over for speeding...he was driving too slowly!"




"He got pulled over because he was so nervous..bless my dad, bless him, bless him!"

Jay: "Did you watch the american shows when you were growing up?"
Orlando: "I did, I did. I loved 'The Fall Guy', Lee Majors was great. I kind of wanted to be a stunt man, then I realised that Lee Majors was actually acting."


Jay: "We're you a Knightrider fan?"
Orlando: "Knightrider..yeah.Knightrider, the A Team and all the rest of it. I saw David Hasselhoff and somewhere it was written that I like Knightrider, but not more than anything else. So David comes up to me and says 'Hey, I hear you like Knightrider and we're going to make the movie and I would love it if you would play my son."


"I was like...yeah, great that would be awesome, talk to my manager...


"...she's right over there!!!""


Jay: "What about Mr T, did you watch the A Team?"
Orlando: "I loved Mr T...""


"I think that's why I wear all this stuff round my neck."




"All this american culture seeping into the UK and into my brain!"


Jay: "We were talking during the break, we have something in common,you're dyslexic as well?"
Orlando: "Yes, I am. The thing about dyslexia is that it doesn't mean you're not intelligent, and I knew I wasn't dumb or stupid but, it was sort of a harder learning process. And it was actually described to me really well by a school teacher. If you imagine, if you are not dyslexic you have a window to your brain and lets say the window to your brain is this big."


"You can see all the vocabulary and stuff in your mind so if you wanted to spell a word you just look into your brain and pull that word out. If you are dyslexic you have all that information but the window is just smaller so you have to move it around to get all the information."

Talking about Haven...
"I loved making this movie, I was desperate to be part of an independant film. You have to live in that moment. I was literally carrying lights across the street, it was a real family affair."


"I called my manager on the first day saying 'I've got 8 scenes to do in a day. I used to doing like 1 scene a week and then a few flashy sword moves and I'm done!




"This is a movie that is so dear to my heart. I met this guy, Frank E Flowers who is the director, 24 years old,that's a feat in itself. I play a guy from the wrong side of the tracks who's in love with this rich black girl from the island, it's a gritty little love story."


"In this scene I've just taken the first night of my girlfriends....womanhood! That was well put wasn't it!"

"I tell you one thing about this film that I love is that I haven't got a sword and sandles..."


"I'm not in a costume and it's closer to me than any of the others and it opens on the 15th September."


Orlando digs around in his pockets and gives Jay a 'Haven' wrist band that he and Zoe were seen wearing in the junket interviews.
