Do you have anything you would like to discuss about 'Elizabethtown'?

What did you think of Orlando's accent? Did you enjoy the soundtrack, which was a big part of the film?

Feel free to discuss here. :)

I think this was the first film of Orlando's I had seen(not count LOTR, as I didn't know who he was when these movies first came out). Thought his accent was flawless.
The music is tremendous! I have all the soundtracks on my computer. And the DVD is in my common rotation.
Great story, great casting(OB, Kirsten and loving Paula Dean's part!), great, wonderful, fantastic!!!
A dear friend of mine's grandfather passed away last summer, he was
a kind gentleman. Watching Elizabethtown during this time helped me deal with it and hopefully helped me be supportive of the family.
I love this movie.
I cry each time I watch it, especially the one Training Wheels at the end when Orlando is just gazing into the camera. I love his eyes. It's like he is looking into my soul...

It's always nice to her someone praise his accent because although it sounds perfect to me, being a Brit makes me no expert on an American accent. I remember his accent was critized in 'Black Hawk Down' so this is really good to hear.

I love the music in this film, but only have the one soundtrack. There are a few songs that I listen to over and over: Tom Petty - Learning To Fly, Elton John - My Fathers Gun', Jeff Finlan - 'Sugar Blue' and The Hombres - 'Let It Out'. Excellant choice of songs.

The casting of Orlando and Kirsten was brilliant. They worked so well together. I hope they wil make another together sometime in the future.

So sorry to hear about your friends Grandfather. It's amazing how many people I have heard say the same thing, how this movie has helped them through difficult times. I think it made a lot of people stop and take a look at their family values as well. I know some people who went to see the film and then a few weeks later made a trip back home just to see their families.

I know that gaze and I know about the Soul Searching look, I've had that one for real. It's a moment where your stomach jumps and the hairs on your arms bristle. :faint:
