Title: 'The Calcium Kid' Discussion
Description: Talk About The Film

Jesse - March 11, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)
Do you have anything you would like to discuss about 'The Calcium Kid'?

What did you think of Orlando's comic timing. If you don't live in the UK, did you understand the humour?

Feel free to discuss here. :)

I recently watched the film and thought it was fab - he really is a good actor and he just seemed so vulnerable and lovely I just want to take him home and look after him.

I haven't seen 'The Calcium Kid' yet, but... I just checked my Netflix queue, and they must have just recently added this move to their group of films their members can watch online!

We have a nice selection of clips in The Calcium Kid Section of our Members Video Library which you are more than welcome to download. :)

I highly recommend it. Orlando is brilliant and his comic timing is perfect.

Yep, yep... :D
I know you will love the movie! It's been my birthday-present last year... and I allready cannot tell anymore, how often I've seen it...
I just love the Paddy O'Flan.-character... Hi is tooooo funny...

...ohh, and of course Orlando does a pretty good job... especially in developing Jimmy's peronality and how he "grows up"...
Beso for that, Mr. Bloom!! :bigwink:

P.S.: I've been in London for three days, and I think I don't need to explain, why I simply couldn't resist to give "Lambeth" a little visit...

The verdict is in: I loved, loved, loved it!

Sweet, funny, nice twists to the story! I will watch this over and over and track down a copy for my very own.

(Oh, and I didn't know Rose from Dr. Who was in this! Of course I have just seen a few episodes of Dr. Who.)

Glad you have finally seen it Katt. I knew you would love it.

My favourite part is definitely where Jimmy flips out just before the fight....

"Ah, bejesus! There's a leprechaun in the ring! Punch him, Johnny, punch him!"

I'll knock you out, you... mad old Irish b******.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Jocy great to see you back from London.

I love that part too Jesse. And the part where he fires Mr. Bush. ..."BOO!" I'm still waiting for it to come to Region 1. I have region 2 because I wanted to have some kind of copy of it. I changed my computer so I can watch it on there. Thank God for the Sundance Channel. They've been running it lately. So cute, so funny. I find myself really liking British humor. You guys have a lot more fun.
