Anyone want to discuss what we think is going to happen in AWE? With all the new toys appearing and little snippets of information being leaked by the likes of Johnny Depp (don't you just love him! :lol: ), there is a huge amount of stuff we can chat about....and see how close we get!

So to start off, we have learned from Entertainmentearth.com that there is going to be a new Captain of the Flying Dutchman...Captain William Turner!! :faint:

How does he get to be the Captain?

Could it be that Jack's soul has to be transported back by another (which would explain Tia Dalma's comment at the end of DMC to Will and Elizabeth), and maybe, just maybe, a little (or all) of Jack's soul remains within Will (the new Captain), hence the coat and sash!!
I'm thinking that once they have escaped Davy Jones locker, Jack has to be broght back to life, which would give Tia Dalma a chance to perform some of her hocus-pocus to return Jack's soul to it's rightful body...but it goes wrong!! Jack ends up with Will's soul and Will has Jack's soul.

Can you just imagine Johnny playing out Will's character dressed as Jack and Orlando playing the character of Jack but dressed as Will.

Any more thoughts??

Oooo...I'm all for CAPTAIN Will Turner! But, lord help me if he has Jack's soul and Orlando has to do that silly fey Captain Jack! I will definitely die laughing if that happens.:lmao:

Well, we saw a little of it in POTC1 and I know Johnny would make sure he had Jack's mannerisms perfect.

Here's another thought...what if Davy Jones is reprieved (or killed)....what if Will somehow gets to his heart and stabs it...the Flying Dutchman must always have a Captain....so Will would have to take his place!!!

Does anybody know what will happen between Jack and Elizabeth??

Not yet, but I should well imagine the relationship between them will be 'strained', after all, it is technically Lizzie's fault that Jack died. Personally, I don't think Jack is at all interested in furthering the relationship, his "first and only love is the sea." So I don't think we will see anything developing between them...but then again, I could be totally wrong.

Will isn't going to be happy either after witnessing 'the kiss', so there will probably be a lot of silences and stony 'looks' passing between them.

Where does that leave Lizzie? Back with Norrington??? :brow:

All the Pirate ships in the background as Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa walk across the beach are interesting!



What is the great insult that Jack pays Sao Feng?

The quote from Johnny in the DMC featurettes about the cannon is now making sense. It will be interesting to see what leads Jack to take that course of action.
