When I watched this movie I noticed that when Orlando is looking at Mitch in the coffen he starts smiling. I've uploaded it
here. Is he supposed to be smiling?? Cause Orlando looks at him like "WTF Did I just see him smile" Or is he not supposed to?? I just wondering that
Yes, it was supposed to happen.
There was a long lead up to that moment. Drew hadn't really known his father well because he had been so busy with his career, so he wasn't sure what to expect when he saw him. Also he had never seen a dead body before, so that was traumatising him as well. As Drew appraoches the coffin a whole manner of emotions runs through his mind, one of which is...could it all have been a terrible mistake? But there he was before him, lying in the coffin. Drew spends a long time looking at his father from many angles, each shard of light casting a different nuance on his fathers features.
Drew stares harder, trying to find a look upon his fathers face that he remembers...he can only remember his father laughing and playing with him as a child.
He's asked..."Did I not capture your Daddy?"
Drew stares harder, "I never saw that look before...what's the word?"
He moves around and stares harder and harder, trying to find something he recognises. His father looks so solumn.
"If you move around a bit you'll see different aspects."
That was it, that was what made Drew connect, everyone saw different aspect of his father and the aspect he saw infront of him was what his fathers friends saw in him, not Drew. Drew moved closer and then aided by the variations of light in the room, he saw the aspect of his father that no one else had ever seen...the fun guy. The look that Drew knew suddenly appeared on his fathers face. it was almost as if it was his fathers parting gift to Drew.
"Whimsical...the word is whimsical!"
Ah ok cause I just thought the actor playing the part couldnt help but smile lol thanks ;)
I expect Cameron would have yelled "Cut" if that had happened!
